'50 lengths in 30 minutes' Can you do it?

May 23, 2017

The club are holding their annual sponsored swim on Friday 23rd June. This is a fun event which challenges the swimmers whilst providing the opportunity to raise funds for the club which will benefit all members.

Swimmers should come along to their normal Friday session (6-7pm, 7-8pm or 8-9pm). The first  30 minutes of the session will be used to swim as many lengths as possible. The remaining time will be normal training.

If you don't normally swim on a Friday night and would like to take part please come along to the 8pm session.

Sponsor forms will be available from the club table and the notice board.

We will require older swimmers and parent helpers to count the lengths and offer some encouragement to our sponsored swimmers. If you can help please add your name to the list on the club notice board.

If you have any questions please speak to Michelle Bailey, Anne Bannerman, Madeleine Graham, Adowa Bittle or Nancy Norris (fundraising team) or someone at the Friday night club table.

Medical Declaration Form

April 04, 2015
A reminder on membership and competition: if you're competing in a British Swimming; Scottish Swimming; ASA; or WASA National event, in any discipline excluding Masters; or competing for GB or your Home Country internationally, you must fill in and return a Scottish Swimming medical declaration form every year.

Should any medication you are taking change throughout the year, you need to send a new, updated form immediately. You can find it on the membership pages on the Scottish Swimming Website, under members > 'membership forms'. Send it back to the address shown on the form.

Reminder Re Gala Entry Fees

February 17, 2015

The club’s policy is that all fees for accepted and reserve swims (where a reserve swimmer is given a swim) are due within 7 days of the gala taking place. Payment should be by cheque or cash and placed in the club mail box in an envelope clearly labelled with the swimmer’s name and the name of the competition. In accordance with the Club Constitution, entries from swimmers for whom outstanding fees from previous meets have not been paid will NOT be accepted until the debt is cleared.

The Committee therefore recommends that all outstanding fees from past galas should be settled immediately.
